Originally from Washington, DC, Charles moved to St. Petersburg and graduated from the University of South Florida, in Tampa.  He then moved to Colorado and began working in a group home for developmentally disabled adults with secondary psychiatric diagnoses.  Upon moving back to Tampa, he studied behavior analysis research and practice and became a certified behavior analyst.  He is recognized for successful intervention of challenging and dangerous behaviors with dually diagnosed folks, including those with autism spectrum disorder, and supporting their inclusion and participation in the community. This knowledge has provided him with the strong analytical skills that he uses daily in real estate practice. He moved to Black Mountain and became a Unit Director at a facility recognized as a state leader in client care and support.

His clients say he is committed to successful outcomes, an effective communicator and educator, creative, detail oriented, proactive, professional, reliable, earns trust and has integrity. Charles has been a Realtor® for 13 years with hundreds of successful closings, developing strong relationships with clients that do not end with a closing.  They would also add he is fun to be around.

Charles has resided in Black Mountain for 22 years with his wife, Gina and dog, Henry.  He enjoys hiking, tennis, golf, occasional skydiving, skiing, traveling and is an avid reader.  He supports several local community nonprofit organizations, including the Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministries, Bounty and Soul and Children, Youth and Families.
